Well it took a month and a half but I finally had to step in front of the camera for one of these images. For this shot my
original idea was to shoot from the side and have a flash inside the pack, I played around with that idea for a while and didn't really like it. Then I was looking at Michael
Clark's book on shooting adventure sports and saw a similar shot and thought I would give it a try. I used my 10.5mm
fisheye and put it on top of a sleeping bag I had stuffed on my backpack, I ran a flash cable out the side of the pack to an SB-800 with a dome
diffuser camera right on a stand. The camera was set for self-timer so I could get both hands in the shot.
