I was gonna save this....

This was the first time I tried a light set up like this and I was really happy with the results. I had two SB-800's, one on each side and behind Mike and then a third SB-800 in a softbox low and camera left. The two back lights were zoomed to 105mm to narrow the beam a bit to regulate the amount of spill. As you can see there was still a fair amount of spill. If I were to do this shot again I would put a grid on each of the flashes to control the flare.

Just a simple image. Processed in Adobe Lightroom.

Just took a walk.

Some days you just have to take a walk, for me that has always been the best way to test new gear. Here are a few more images with the P7000 all were processed in Adobe Lightroom.

A night out.

Just another fun little image, this was shot during the open mic night in town. Nikon P7000 and processed in Lightroom.

Lots of Color

Day one with the new camera and I walked around downtown to see what I could come up with. It's amazing how you start to see things differently with new gear. Lately though I have really been seeing colors and patterns. This was taken in KD Floral, hand held and processed in Adobe Lightroom.

And I'm Back!

Well I am back from Los Angeles and really happy to be back and get to work, not so much the day job but with the photography. I came up with a lot of new ideas and projects to work on most of them needing to be done back in Minnesota.
I just got a new Nikon Coolpix P7000 (above) that is going to be with me day in and out so you will be seeing a lot of shots taken with that on here. I kind of want to do a photo a day project but I'm not going to commit to that just yet.
Stay tuned more to come!
